First prize is £2,000 plus two optional extras: a week’s writing
retreat at Chawton House Library and a day with a Virago editor. Runners
up will share £1,050 in prize money – and all the winning stories will
be published in the June 2012 edition of Mslexia magazine. The judge this year is acclaimed novelist and short story author Tessa Hadley.
