Ouch!

I stubbed my toe so badly on the leg of the bed last month that I had to stop going to my dance classes as it was so painful. Now that the bruise is creeping up from the nailbed, you can see why!

Oh, that looks SO painful. It really hurts when the pressure is building up under the nail, doesn't it? I remember my Dad carefully drilling, yes I did say 'drilling', his fingernails whenever he'd bruised them working in the shed or the garage.

I don't think I could face doing that, Jacula. Mr G says he has done the same thing. The pain has all but gone now, it just looks unsightly instead. I shall have to wear very dark nail polish!

I wouldn't put any polish on it. You need to let the nailbed breathe to allow healthy new growth.
